1. Preparation Work● Before construction, safety education should be conducted to learn how to use various tools, pay attention to construction safety, wear labor protection equipment, stay away from fire sources and avoid electric shock.
● Before starting work, please clean the installation surface thoroughly to avoid oil stains, dust, moisture, and other factors that may affect the installation effect and reliability.
●Please cut the materials in advance according to the installation size and number them. When cutting, pay attention to placing the materials on the work platform to avoid size errors.
2. Cutting Materials● When cutting materials, cold processing machines can be used to improve efficiency, and molds can be used for irregular parts. Please ask for help to guide irregular pipes installation from ICET professional installation engineers who are waiting to offer help
● Sound absorbing materials and insulation materials have a certain degree of elasticity, and the size can have a tolerance of+5~+10mm when cutting, which can better seal the boundary after release, however, when necessary, adhesives need to be applied to the installation boundary.
● The sound insulation materials have weaker elasticty, so a tolerance of -2~-5mm is needed when cutting. After installing the sound barriers, it is necessary to seal the installation gaps with glue. The thickness of the glue should not be lower than the material, and the glue should not break.
3. Adhesive Backing
● When installing sound-absorbing, sound insulating, and thermal insulation materials that are back adhesive, the adhesive paper should be peeled off in sequence and the bonding should be completed within 10 minutes to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, which may affect the performance of the adhesive.● When tearing off the backing adhesive paper, it should be proceeded step by step instead of removing it in large area. When installing, press the surface of the material with your palm (or a lightweight wooden mallet with a smooth surface) to ensure complete adhesion on the surface and avoid bubbles and cavities inside the adhesive back that may affect performance and lifespan.
4. Construction method
● When installing acoustic materials, the acoustic materials that share the same sound area with the sound source should follow the principle of first using sound absorbing materials and then using sound insulation materials near the sound source side.● At the area closest to the sound source(envelope surface),the sound insulation materials must be installed in series.if it needs to be discontinued in the process,use glue or sealant to seal the broken joint.For example,the sound insualtion material laid in the engine compartment must be continuous;the sound insualtion material under the bottom plate of the vehicle must be continuous.
● If the sound barrires under the vehicle floor cannot be continuously covered during installation, it is necessary to continuously glue onto the edges of the frames.
